Amps, ISO and speakers
So at the moment I have a bit of a 'bodge job' with the speakers in my 110 and i want to sort it.

I currently have:

- standard front speakers replaced with better 10cm ones, still using the same wiring- nothing changed there.

- tweeters were installed from factory and i have them unplugged atm as they were all that could be heard at higher speeds

- the rearmost speakers unplugged since i was struggling to balance them with...

- a pair of decent 6x9s in separate enclosures in the rear which currently provide most of my sound! they are powered by a pretty good amp which takes power from the 'rear' red and white plugs on the back of the radio.

what i want to know is:

a) can i fit my 6x9s into an enclosure where the factory rear speakers are? I think i saw some on here a while back?

b) without destroying the existing loom, can I send the amp outputs back into the iso block to out through the standard speaker wires? then I could have amped speakers using the standard wiring. I don't really want to start running new wires through the car as this introduced (i think) quite a bit of static last time.

either that, or: would just replacing the rear standard speakers with 6x9s work? or for 6x9s do i really want them to be amped?

would appreciate some help from the experts that i know many of you are! Cheers, guys Cheers, David

You can fit 6x9's in the rear speaker trim if you buy a pair, they should be available if not you could probably use your standard ones but you have to be carful in your cutting but I'm not sure if that'd work out.
You'd have to use you'd own judgment on that, of course it's easier to buy them suitable for 6x9's.
6x9's won't fit the front but possibly doors but frankly I think that doesn't look good at all nor sound good either.
For these 6x9s in the rear you could get away with powering just from the HU providing they aren't high wattage.
Ideally amped would be best though for best output.
Regarding Amps for anything you choose there should be no reason to alter the original look at all.
All you will need is the blue 12v remote, RCA's and primary power and earth. That's it, if you have multiple Amps (if you choose to)
Ideally for ease of use you ideally want an Amps with audio signal in AND out so you can "daisy chain" them.
If you don't you'll have to use splitters or other gear which if avoidable is better. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️
