NSF door won't stay open! I've read posts on here about a 10mm adjuster bolt, is that on older ones like mine too?

The other thing you can try is taking the curved metal bar out and try 'flattening' it a little in a vice - don't overdo it though. When it's fixed back in place the bottom end of it will then exert more pressure against the roller when the door is open. It worked with mine, although mine was fitted a lot more poorly than yours is in that picture. You're basically trying to achieve more pressure where the metal bar presses against the roller in that little cutaway 'slot' at the bottom.
Looking at your picture though it does look as though it should work perfectly! In your picture the door isn't fully open, when it is the roller pops past the metal bar, which acts as a spring because of the 'twist' in it where it is clamped in the bracket above. Once the roller has gone past the spring bar to the left hand end of the track, it can't come back again because the bar is in the way, thus keeping the door open. The more you can increase this 'spring' effect, the more positively the door stays open. If that makes any sense? 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |
