Wiring route for extra wiring/relays/fuses etc
I was to mount a distribution block, relays, fuses etc under the drivers seat in my 300TDI. Initially this will be for a new seated windscreen but later will be for heated seats, lamps, amps etc. (god knows what). The plan is to run a fat power cable from the battery across to the box under the driver's seat and mount it all there.

Firstly, what is the best route to get the power cable from one seat to the other?
Secondly, what is the best route from the drivers seat to the stereo area on the dash for the switches etc?

Ideally, I would like to drill holes, add grommets to run everything as if it was a factory fit. But is just running under the carpet a better/easier option?

I took the lazy option for running wires from the under seat boxes by just hiding them under the carpet.

If you take the fusebox cover off below the dash, you can push the wires up along side the existing wires and they pop out the same hole as the wires for the radio unit.

The carpet works okay but if you have a lot of wires, you could add DynaPad on the middle section but leave a channel for the wires so everything is smoother and quieter at the same time, although I don't think it's thick enough to make a huge difference Thumbs Up
