Likes Land Rover service prices, these are the prices on the service display board. So you may get a cheaper price if you haggle.

I just had mine done at a snip over 200 by Ripon LR- and I knw they did it all because tey had to take the transfer box guard off to get to the handbrake cable alone.

I'd be interested in where you go. There's a pretty good outfit in Towcester. Have you had any experience with them? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

No I haven't I always use marshalls Bedford. I know Hartwells is closer but I would not use them to servise a roller skate! I will start ringing around tomorrow.

OK quick phone round today. (This is a first 12k service)
Stratstones = 556.00 Hartwells (we could not be trusted with a rollerskate) = 428.00 Marshalls = 450.00 I have got marsalls to drop the price to 425.00 but still The last time I had a 12k sevice it was 330 but that was two years ago. Well, including the wash inside and out (lovely by the way) and the sticker to let me travel on the road (40 francs) I payed over 1080 Swiss francs.!! Yes I was quite shocked...it was the 20 k km check up. I think that I was even charged for a computer upgrade, which should have come from warrenty...unless he was charging for the time it took.
I would hate to see what it would have cost me if I would have had one of the Aston Martins or Jag convertibles that are priced at over 175 K CHF on the floor or even a range rover...One more reason I like my 110, it won't cost as much as those aformentioned but I still get all the looks... umm, well the defender gets the looks, and my wife. 2008 Defender 110 60 year Edition (sold unfortunately) IN the hunt for another Puma for the wifey! 2008 Kia Sorento LX 😁 2.5crdi |
