Defender 90 TD5 County - You need only two tools in life: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesnt move and it should: WD-40. If it moves and shouldnt: duct tape it. |

I have stopped waving at Defender drivers since I was forced to stop by an angry driver in his brand new 110.
On my regular drive across the North Yorkshire Moors I would normally wave at the oncoming Defender and get a wave back except for one which was a brand new shinny Black 110 driven by a person didn't know if male or female. Any way a couple of weeks back I noticed in a Defender coming up behind with it headlights flashing, slowed down to let it past, once past the driver threw the anchor out and came to a sudden stop I pulled up behind thinking that something was wrong at the rear of my ride. The driver a young male jumped out and ran towards me and before |I could open the window started to bang with his fist of the glass, once the window was open he tried to put his head inside, which was a mistake as he did not see the wind deflector, he started shouting at me "Why the do you wave at my wife what sort of are you.? I got covered in spital and he was red faced. My wife was in the passengers seat and she leant forward and told him that all Defender owners waved at each other when passing. Now when I pass a Defender my wife waves. Don't make old people mad. We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

Arc99 can't believe you managed to write that without at least one reference to the bloke being a complete !
Funny, I've just gone back to being a defender owner... Shiny new 110 and have noticed less people these days on the rules of ownership... My wife just laughs at us Dfender owners, and takes great delight in commenting whenever my wave is not reciprocated! Btw in case the word I put in above is removed, i believe it's what you ca ll a pregnant fish! |

ARC99 I had a guy do something similar to me in traffic once. Summers day so the window was down and he looked like he was about to haul off and throw a punch. What he had failed to notice was my 6 stone German Shepherd, Abbs sitting in the back seat! One minute he was yelling and threatening like a star MMA fighter then Abbs 's head appeared over my right shoulder telling him in no uncertain terms to off! He nearly wet himself there and then! So did I for that matter but that was due to the fact I was laughing so much!

Definitely some truth here - ignore the Farmers etc., old folk (unless new and with mods) Middle aged with kids in any LR are fans and love being part of a the club! Anything clearly looked after and pampered with bits and bobs... I even got a wave of the Cops the other day - I did not know if I should wave back or pull over! I'm going to get a window sticker done - 'Wave if you're in' Matt |

Just do as at 1'53" to 2'05" minutes in this movie trailer. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |
