The Trucklites do leave a dark patch in front of the Defender. I do like the look of them. |

I finished fitting them today. They are awesome! I had a little trouble trying to disconnect my dim-dip beam resistor, as that was confusing the Truck-Lites, but all done now. I'm afraid my photo's don't do them justice.

I have tried to get photo's in the dark to show the beam pattern & spread, but my phone just can't handle photos in the dark. I can confirm that there is a blackspot just in front of the car, but when driving you will probably be looking further ahead than that; they are miles better than the standard candle-in-jam-jar's that LR fit. Agree, I do like the looks of these Truck Lites. More classic headlamp look than the Speaker and even than the Nolden.
Now, I have once done a comparison test on here of the Speaker vs. Nolden. Now, who is going to the same in an unbiased way and in objective nighttime conditions for Speaker <>Nolden<>Truck Lite ????? Eric You never actually own a Defender. From the pictures, it seems so. Which is the same as the Nolden, only the Speakers do not do that. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

What does "position lamp" mean? I have the SVX front and so my headlights have sidelights in them. Will these units fit ok and have the position lamp being my sidelight?

Hope that helps Brendan |

Today crossed a silver 90 here in our village who recently also installed those Trucklites and had them on in the middle of the day (as required by law). Looking great in the flesh. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
