As of today I have the same problem, it opens with the key though.Will have a look this weekend when I get chance.

This is a common problem apparently. I think it comes from too much end float on the white plastic pivot between the metal rod from the solenoid and the lock itself. I thought I'd fixed this by putting a bend in the rod from the lock. Immediately it was better, but it seemed to play up with me again at the weekend.

Just sprayed wd40 in the slot where the black lever is and it's now working fine.😀

I had similar problem, found the white plastic jobbie was working its way out of the hole, so screwed in a chunky self tapping screw through the center of white jobbie to spread the retaining lugs. two years and no further problems with it. |

Thorougly cleaning and afterwards some Innotec Hogh-tef oil did the trick.
