Just regular stuff? What I had was adhesive foam but it's a load of rubbish, it doesn't even work in the house much less outside. No Guts, No Glory.

3m VHB tape but make sure you get it straight first time because the plate is not coming back off in one piece

No I didn't warm it up but I can tell its useless, I found a use inside the house too and that came off.
To be honest the more per permanent stuff would be best because I don't want it to come off. The white foam like tape seems best, that's what I had on there originally and never budged. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Had to do move my front number plate when I fitted the day light running bumper and I'm embarrassed to say I got some number plate tape for a couple of pounds from Halfords and it works a treat.

Steve,
I have some 3M Jelly Apetape, industrial grade, surface it goes on MUST be clean, gently warm tape and adhere. Very expensive and cost prohibitive for what you need. As ever 'pm' me your details again and I'll send you a metre or so if it's any help. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Mal, if you are sure that would be most kind. It is only the rear plate my front is fixed on with screws. No Guts, No Glory.

No problems Steve. 'PM' me your address again please (I'll keep it this time) and I'll get some in the post tomorrow. Just chalk it up as another beer you owe me sometime.
Keep it in the plastic bag when you're not using it or it becomes contaminated by any particles it comes into contact with as everything sticks to it.
