Hmm, not seen that ...will check the manual..
cheers simon EDIT: so I can see where it is in the manual, just need to figure out how to turn it on. Also noticed there is a choke warning light, so might see if I can use that. If anyone knows how to activate them, let me know..! |

These are all unused on UK spec:
120km/h warning lamp Choke Gearbox temp You may also have an unused traction control warning lamp if you don't have ABS/TC. The wiring pins and signals required to activate them are: 120km/h: 20 pin connector, pin 6 to ground Choke: 16 pin connector, pin 2 to ground Gearbox: 16 pin connector, pin 5 to ground TC: 16 pin connector, pin 16 to ground 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Thanks Martin, just the job. Got ABS/TC, but one of the others should be fine.
Are the bulbs likely to be there, or do I need to install them..? Cheers Simon |

There are no bulbs, they are LEDs and are all fitted.
If you need a wiring pin to fit into an empty position, let me know. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Sorry to jump in but on my 200tdi very very occasionally the PTO light comes on, which is odd because it has nothing fitted and hasn't ever had anything fitted to my knowledge.
Without taking it out to have a look, is there anywhere I should look to see what it it attached to (and what occasionally wants attention?) |

Couplands,
Have a read here: http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/200...tdi300tdi/ It’s a guide to installing the Td5 instrument pack into older vehicles but he gives a complete pinout for the spare instrument warning lights. Some are ‘negative switched’ so you may have to switch them on via relay (create a ‘NOT’ gate if you will). See below (PDF) for the owner’s manual which will show you the lights in the warning cluster and which are spare: http://www.legionlandrover.com/manuales/us...5%20v8.pdf Matt Real trucks don't have spark plugs |

What controls the 120km/h light? Isn't that fitted to gulf spec or somthing?

A separate ECU on Gulf spec cars. For other markets the pin on the warning panel loom connector is empty. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Just out of interest, did LR supply ROW petrol Land Rover post 1998, or did the 50th anniversary have the later "TD5 style" instrument panel? Trying to work out why choke would be on there. 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

The 50th had Td5 style clocks but the older style warning panel.
Don't know why the choke symbol is there, maybe added "just in case". Although it would only be for manual choke anyway, which was long gone on cars by the Td5 era. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
