Had the answer from my MOT station..... From the 16th Feb you will need a CAT on a diesel if one was originally fitted as standard

sorry to say but when other countries take the same steps to curb emissions then I will be more interested . some counties are still pouring out 10x worst emissions then we do .
Will there be a big rush to mot before the 16th feb? |

sports cats are not that expensive , whats to stop you cutting a de cat pipe and fitting one in
or fit one in the straight thru pipe instead of silencer . cant see anything saying it has to be a orignal standard cat just fitted as standard from new for mot so leave your decat pipe in place and fit sports cat down underneath ??? |

or just get bigger bore diesel cat from larger engined diesel vehicle ? |

You are correct, if the rules are what we expect them to be this will be all thats needed to pass the mot legally and keep Vosa happy. |

seems to me a 100 cell cat is no good for mot but 200 cell is just need to find one now
