Devon 4x4, as far as I am aware, perfectly possible but very expensive. No Guts, No Glory.

Pete, The kit with everything you need is available for round £1,350- £1,400 (Plus labour if you get someone else to fit it!) and can be fitted DIY by anyone who is reasonably good with a spanner. It consists of either genuine or OEM parts and fits without the need for the extended nose. The only thing you would have to do once fitted was get it charged with refrigerant which any garage that can recharge aircon could do. (The likes of Kwikfit even) The part number of the kit as supplied by Bearmach is BA5006. It was on my wish list when I had a Puma but have now gone back to a 300tdi with vents! Hope this helps!

Is there a reason Land Rover chose to have the extended nose for vehicles fitted with A/C if it is possible to fit it without the extension? I prefer the look of the traditional front.

I assume it's for the air conditioning fan
AC is hugely underrated! No more fogging up in winter or sweaty summers Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Thanks for this, will contact devon 4x4 and others to see what the charge is and see if I can justify the expense to stay cool and de mist the cab!!!!
Will a heated screen be easy enough to fit? |
