Body panel repair
Hi all, I've got some, er, character marks on the barreling/ sewage line along both sides on my renently acquired 110 td5 DC.
Is this something I can beat out deal with myself? Bearing in mind the last time I did anything of that nature was on my VW beetle about 20 odd years ago.
Are there any particular formers available to maintain the barrel shape to beat against et? Any help appreciated, or do bite the bullet and go see somebody who knows what they are doing? Thanks Disco 300TDi XS - Gone

alley panels can be a pain to knock out dents as the metal stretches easily , if your not careful you end up with a bump not a dent

all depends how good you want it to look and how bad the damage is

really want someone who know how to shrink the metal back if its stretched

Aluminium is much hard to panel beat than steel as it " work hardens" it is best to heat it up to keep it maleable but this is not without its problems due to the low melting point of the alloy ! If they are not too big dents have a word with a local dent removal specialist they should be able to help. 2005 Td5 90 XS
