Seat runner construction
Been trying to trace a rattle/squeak from the passenger seat which I have now fixed. However, in the process I noticed that one of the seat runners has more up/down play in it than the other 3. How do the two parts run over each other - e.g. is it ball bearings in a plastic holder or something more crude. I'm wondering if the play is a sign of something that is worn out or broken.

The extra play is most noticeable when the seat is fully pushed back

Just a bump for this - I need to get it resolved and wondered if anyone has been down this route before me with a good outcome:

I've got both front seats with excessive freeplay. It seems worse on the settings furthest away from the windscreen; and the passengers seat is such that when i brake and accelerate i can see and hear the seat moving if there is a passenger in it.

Vehicle in in with dealer for 1st service and to fix these faults. Unfortunately, they are trying to fob me off with TADTS. I've said it's not acceptable and they need to resolve but anyone had similar issues with a good outcome. Any ammo such as referencing actual TSBs I can use to get them to actually try a fix?
