Merlin,

Is there a button or small hole on the front that you can push with something like a pen/pin to (factory) reset the unit. I think it might be on the front top left corner on your unit?...remove any attached devices before you do this because it can mess these up if you do a reset with these attached.

It worked on my Kenwood when the DAB suddenly froze, so it might be worth trying.

Thanks DAZ110 for the tip. The re-set didn't work but that lead me to the idea of a re-boot. I tried, and failed, to download the latest software, but that forced a re-boot anyway, which solved the problem. Thanks for the lead.
