Hi, following on from a Topic i posted Yesterday Ref SVX Or X-TECH DEFENDER i am still trying to soort a problem for a freind, An Ex Serving Soldier Injured In Service, Who wants a DEFENDER of all things ?
Anyhow, i need the assistance of those that know and maybe some one who has done it ? Can the DEFENDER Of the Newest breed be converted to Auto ? My initial thought would be buy an Older V8 Auto and spend Ł35 K Doing that up ? Thanks in anticipation DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN |

Hi Chalky
Just look up Ashcroft Transmissions, they do auto boxes for Defender. Cheaper than you were thinking as well! |

Our last demo 110 was converted by Ashcroft for the new owner. Great conversion and drove very nicely.

that nene/icon auto conversion with paddle shift is top of my wish list! would be smoother on road (surely?!) and brilliant off it! Cheers, David

Totally Sorry....
Chalky.... Just caught up with a few recent posts of yours and thought there for a moment you were 'returning to the fold?' Not tempted at all?.... Bet you've lost that 'hard edge' and become a little 'pink and fluffy' since being being spoilt with your Discovery? Nice to know you're still about. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Hi mate, i have been tempted to return over the past 4 years BUT the D3 has been 100 % Trouble free and its so well made and comfortouble i just cant bring myself to part with it !
I was holding out for a new Defender but its just not happening ! I'd like a nice tidy TD5 But as it stands i'll be staying Pink N Fluffy DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN |
