Australia 2013 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 CSW Keswick Green

I tried 5 years ago, but as we were both just over 40 we were told we were too old! I did a year traveling Oz in my late teens and fell in love with the country. I always promised myself I'd go back and hopefully live there permanently but family commitments and work/life took over until by the time we were ready the country didn't want us! Ce la vie. But I would be living there now if I could.
Britain is fantastic, but to have a reasonable quality of life here you have to live, sleep and breath work with so little time to yourself. wages haven't changed in 10 years and yet the cost of living has shot up at an alarming rate! I'd prefer to be in Oz

Well that's disappointing mate.
But there are "double standards". A very good friend of mine is a very highly qualified Mechanical Engineer, he came out to Aus to work in V8 Supercars, as did his son. They both had jobs to go to, & still have, but the crap he had to go through is UNBELIEVABLE, even though they've all got jobs, including the wife & aren't "bludging on the system" at all.
On the other hand, we've got all the "Do-Gooders" wanting to let in ALL the "Boat People"/"Illegal Immigrants", who PAY people smugglers to get them into the country illegally, and they cost the country a fortune. By the way, I ain't against Asylum Seekers/Refugees, as long as they are genuine.
Cheers, Pickles.

Yeah, I'm booked in with Richard at Chassis Clean - he's very thorough and a real perfectionist, but does have a waiting list (I'm booked in for early May, soonest he could do it!) 1959 Series 2 Ragtop
1989 SWB Stationwagon
1998 300Tdi Hard Top and 2012 2.2 Puma Hardtop (at work)
2011 Puma 90 2.4 XS

Out of interest, roughly how much does ChassisClean charge for a Defender? It it in line with the other 4x4s listed? I've been looking for someone NW/North Wales based to do mine when it arrives... so good to have a recommendation of someone within reach.

I'm in the same position - expecting new Defender. Already checked the price on his website - just over £500 - the same cost as Rustmaster in Cheshire with their pro-Waxoyl treatment. Dinatrol give 2 yr guarantee, pro-Waxoyl 5 yrs.

I should check out other threads but how us Dinatrol better than the pro-Waxoyl?

If you're in the Cornwall area I just had David of Highlanes Garage in Perranporth give my 2013 90 the full works with Dinitrol. He's done a very nice thorough job.
