Will it stop the kids from asking me for a 99 each time I stop when I get rid of my ice cream van wheels?

10s they are! The BFGs in the size I wanted them are not yet available or being manufactured for the UK market, so I had to bin them off my wish list! Coopers then moved up into the number 1 slot due to Fekete's recommendation and the previous picture and the ones in the snow he posted!

K9F you mentioned in an earlier post about HD suspension because of XS spec. Is that true for the 110 too? I always thought they only did the HD on the hardtops 59 2.4 110 XS Utility

Heavy Duty Suspension As A Standard Extra!
Cibit,

Truth be told I am not 100% sure, even the Land Rover site does not mention it any more. There is a mention of it being available as an option in this and several other articles about:-

http://www.motorbar.co.uk/lrdefender.htm

The article mentions 110s and 130s only numerous hard tops are advertised as having heavy duty suspension and mine has it too. Even Land Rover could not tell me if this meant that I had a 1" lift against standard when I needed to know for tyre sizes. I am sure someone will be able to enlighten us exactly what HD suspension axctually achieves above standard! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

England
Utilities, double cabs and pick ups have uprated HD suspension on the rear only, station wagons dont.
If you have the above then the landy will sit slightly higher than a standard version, probably about an inch as they are rated to carry a heavier payload being a commercial type Thumbs Up You cannot teach stupid people to do clever things

Thanks Disco,

Fekete said the same but I cannot for the life of me find any reference to it on the Land Rover sites, Googling or even talking to my local dealerships.

Plenty of literature 'plugging it' as HD suspension but no details Exclamation Exclamation If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Hello Son! Taking the 'age old addage' of Don't get mad! Get even! into consideration, the trauma of you splattering the side of my pride and joy with carrots and such like body waste material has not yet faded! Next time you come and stay best you check your shoes each morning before you slip them on!

Finally Fitted!
Finally got the wheels and tyres mated together and fitted! Bl00dy glad Fekete I never went for the 12.5s as they would have stuck out a mile due to differing offsets. Don't think there's much in it between us comparing pictures! For all the do-gooders out there I am probably sat on the wrong side of legality but I'm nearly half a century old and able to wipe my own ar5e thank you very much. Apparently Fekete they're doing a remake of Mad Max and want to know if our Landies are available....

Happy as a sand flea me. Off to pub to get ratted and win meat raffle. Sorry for standard of pics but in a hurry. Toodle pip! Laughing
