There`s very little in it I think! I suppose it would depend how long you planned on keeping it and how many miles your going to put on it that might affect resale value when you go to get rid. Might be a different answer if it was say a 10plate Insignia against an 11plate Mondeo (or the other way round) My advice would be to shop around as much as possible as there are good deals to be had! You might just fine an 11plate 20,000miler at the same price as a 10plate! P.S It might just come down to swmbo liking one car more that anotheryou realise!

Cheers DD
There are indeed some good deals around at the moment and I have been looking around and will leave no stone unturned - the good thing is I can probably be fairly bullish with the dealers too as i know the trade in Fiesta is attractive to them - one salesman at probably Scotland largest multi-franchise dealer told me it is likely to be the best trade in option that they will get all week and it would be straight on the forecourt! I never underestimate the SWMBO factor - I will do all the leg work and then she will come along and say nah dont like it! The seach just threw up the question as I came across 2 identical cars in the same dealership at the same price but differing only in age and mileage and it got me thinking about how I would choose. |

Service history would be a deciding factor for me...
New with high mileage have generally spent most of their life on the motorway cruising. However they may have also been a lease or company car... and everybody knows nothing handles like a company car! But company cars generally get serviced by dealerships, so you'd expect a tight motor. You need to narrow the search to a specific model before doing research on things to look out for |
