does def 2007 use relay for lightswitch ?
Hello,

Can anybody let me know if a defender 110 2007 uses the lightswitch or a relay for the lights ?

Just to know if I have to upgrade this so i don't have a burned swith in the dark Wink

You are already hinting at the answer in your question post. No relay, the full juice goes thru the lightswitch.

There are a few companies who produce ready made solutions to improve things via a relay and avoid burning up your lightswitch. A recent thread gives some details. Thumbs Up

thx mate,

i thought it was like that (that sucks Sad ), but i didn't understand why there is a notice of a relay for light in the electrical 2007 manual. what is the function of this then .

2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Alpine White
A few days ago my light switch become defective and stopped working.

Since the original spare part is very expensive, I rebuild it and added a relay using a scheme found on the web to avoid problem in the future. A cheap and easy to made mod.
