Puma pod waaaay to small unfortunately.
On the mud uk website they sell a roof console option (http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/interior-trim/mud-defender-roof-console.html) and a simple tray for the passenger side which is neat and tidy (http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/interior-trim/mud-defender-puma-single-din-dashboard-mount.html) You can also mount on inside the cubby box (on the inside of the front face, facing upwards) which is discrete and handy considering most don't use CBs that regularly. Negative: involves drilling holes in base of cubby for wiring. What I did was purchase a handheld CB with car kit and aerial mount included, and fit it alongside my cubby so I can tuck the unit inside the cubby when not used, and pull it out when necessary. See my pics half way down the page here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic24368-30.html Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Puma Pod is not to small if the UHF has a demountable face unit pic suggests this is the case
Roof console is to small unless single din is shallow or your willing to cut the Head linning Theres also a plate by Mud that fits a single Din under the glove box in the Puma Or for complete set up a Double Din cubby from FCX |

FCX sell a 'twin din' cubby box, might be able to do something with that?
Might mean a bit less butchery to the dash. ![]() Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() |

I really need to mount the Kenwood on top due to the GPS pod needs contact with satellites.
The Yaesu could be hidden away, but I need access to them as well. I have thought about the roof console from Terrafirma. What is under the plastic behind the clock, could a couple of selv taping screws go in there ? Glen "Rafiki" 2007 110 STW - Rolling rebuild. |

Could you use this?
http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/interio...nsole.html maybe relocate the roof light for extra space to fix stuff?
