Hi, sorry am away on hols so haven't check in here since my last post - details of my set-up can be found in this thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic15735.html I got all the bits from reversing cameras UK - someone posted the link earlier on but as many have pointed out you can get cheaper on ebay or Amazon |

Okay - finally fitted mine. Camera went nicely into the NAS rearstep/bumper (where my failed attempt at a parking sensor originally was) and the monitor is high up in the corner of the windscreen (see pics). I took power from the "usual" place (the inside light - also used for my wife's lit courtesy mirror.

In that respect it's accurate to within a few centimeters ![]() ![]() Matt Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

The Ifor one looks good but in the end I bought off eBay after a bit of research (better for me to buy from German supplier) - fully wireless and IP66. Camera fits well, monitor is clear (and small) and the sucky thing will never come off...
Display is the same as above, with red, yellow, green lines etc. Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I bought a cheap e bay setup, good quality picture when bench tested, but wasn't happy with the camera so have just bought a better quality camera to fit to the rear (truck type) need to fit it soon as rear view in 110 utility is poor! I am going to clip over existing mirror and wire it through a switch (spare on dash) so I can operate when towing a trailer! Also going to wire one onto the caravan and connect through! .... Well that's the plan anyway!! I still miss my lightweight!

Welcome Parry
![]() I think rear-view in any 110 is poor. I've been playing with reversing-sensors for years as I crap myself backing up at night, in the rain, whenever etc. I also would have gone for the mirror option if it could fix the non-working mirror tilt (night driving) ![]() But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
