Swivel pin housing oil (grease) renewal | |
Been reading Haynes manual and it mentions the need to change the oil in the swivel pins every 24k for non td5 defenders.
I also noticed that under the heading Lubricants and fluids in the Haynes manual it mentions Texaco EP00 grease for the TD5.
So my question is, as it does not mention the TD5 having the renewal of oil / grease as it does other defenders why does it mention what grease to use...is this when you replace the swivel pins or is it an service item

TD5 use a fill for life or one shot grease,so strictly speaking not servicable,I think the others use a gear type oil. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5.
