Hello all
I thought id let you know of a product thats coming soon and what your opinions of it are. I need to think of an model name for it! any ideas? Its an 7" Spot light with an combination spot and flood beam. Spots and Flood units will become available in due course along with different colours. Ali casing with an stainless steel bracket mount. Built in LED Daytime running lights. UV and vibration resistant to Military spec. This spot light measures at 45300Lux at 2 metres which for comparison compared to ARB's Intensity LED spotlight is 31400Lux so its 37% brighter in comparison than the ARB! outputs 8800Lumens @ 7.8A draw Sealed to IP69k which is the highest rating possible. 2 years guarantee Priced at £330 per unit with free next day delivery Expected delivery is after Xmas in the New Year as currently placing an order for 10 units Any sales made on defender2.net to members will have the usual donation to the Forum coffers. Yes 96w from memory, so close to 100w

Hi all
Just an update I have placed an order of 20 units of these 7" LED spot lights so if anyone wants to reserve these lights pending detailed pics of when they land and are fitted to my own 110 and I will be arranging to meet up with Derrick of LRS to see how these compare to his ARB Intensity's I will post up again on when they are estimated to land in the UK and I will post detailed pictures then

I don't see any E marking in the picture, and you also do not mention anything about that in your OP. So have to presume that they are not E marked at all, which make them not legal to be used on public roads. Same applies to the ARB spot or flood lamps, they are not legal for on public road use in Europe either. Could easily turn into a legal/insurance nightmare if after an accident the other party pretends that they were dazzled by your lights. A pity really, because I think they are a nice product.

Fear not Ericv, They are indeed E marked for European road use so not such an pity hey!

Welsh, In that case these are quite interesting. Was asking abt E-marking because the ARB spotlights are not E-marked as far as I know, and I could not distinguish any E-marking on the lens glass in your picture either. So will the final version have this E-marking printed on the glass? 7" is a very nice size to complement the existing standard main headlamps of a Defender (incl. those in the SVX front). Question, can they be installed in "hanging" position? For instance could they fit hanging into the original Defender soft "A" bar, which has a provision for adding two hanging spot lights. Final production versions should have E Markings as I have specified it to them it must have this to satisfy road use in european countries.
They can be mounted any way you wish so hanging is not an problem. Walfy will PM you once they arrive to sort an meet up as I recall you aren't far away from me in Newport S.Wales, somewhere in Bristol aren't you?
