Stopping my rear safari door from rattling
My back door has rattled since I had the truck and the spare wheel was always wobbling when ever I went over any bumps in the road.

So the first job was to sort out and tidy up the hinges with some new stainless steel bolts:

The next issue is that the outer skin had come away from the door frame, probably because someone has reversed the truck into something and the door is actually bent. So I decided to use some chequer plate (sorry if you not a fan!), small flat head rivets and some countersunk bolts to pull it all together.

So this is the before

Also took the opportunity to fit a Mantec wheel carrier

Like what you have done there.

Those new door bolts make a big difference, although if those were the originals then they have done well for 9 years.

I found my rattle was from the Landrover wheel carrier that had cracked in the corners so the wheel was wobbling and making the rubbing metal creek. Until I find a wheel carrier I like I just welded it up and welded some braces across the corners

Did your kit come with support brackets for the mounts?
A LR dealership fitted mine without the supports and now the body has sheered.

Argument with dealership begins...
