It's getting to the point where its almost not worth owning one anymore, that way you don't have the stress every morning of thinking 'is it still where I parked it' !!.............and yet all the mags are saying that the value of them is increasing, guess I'll have to add some more layers Td5 110 HD Hardtop.......not quite standard

Sounds daft but I would be tempted to kip in the back of one in an area known for theft (luckily not in that area) with a nice 9 iron or even something a bit bigger and would wait till they come to do their business then whack, hands in-operable and call for police saying they fell over whilst running away as they realised someone was in the back, dont think they'd be in a rush to do it again anytime soon.

If you don't want any hassle (real or perceived) from folk trying to steal your Land Rover - move house to an area where your neighbours are the Mr Bigs of the local criminal fraternity. Small time crooks like car thieves stay well away because they know what will happen to them if they are seen messing about. Another solution I have seen is to keep a very aggressive dog in the back - one disadvantage is that your vehicle and you will smell a bit. |

Getting proper bad now Jim / Chris, i was filling up with fuel in Esso Hertford last night and a chap stopped in a brand new 90 Station Wagon XS, all the extras looked lovely so i thought i'd warn him about whats been happening, he was genuinely shocked and could not believe people that they where so sought after. Anyway i gave him your number Chris regarding extra security

Got confronted down a greenlane by a farmer who had a Rottweiler in hand. I wound the window down and showed him a bigger one in the back seat. He didn't seem interested after that.
