Usually spray lube on the rod and slide it in and out but DON'T twist the rod,5 second job. There may be carbon built up inside so you can try a diesel additive.
Video of rod and wots to lube.Or Google;lubricate, turbo wastegate actuator rod. Pov.spec,ftw. 2006, 110,TD5. |

If it only does it after a bend or corner and your sure it's ok on straight road when you put foot down then its got to be drawing air in diesel in the tank , if you fill tank up does it stop doing it

It does it on a full tank and when nearly empty
I'll give the actuator a clean. I have checked and have a fault code relating to a brake switch. Could this be connected? 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X |

I checked the fuel filter and all seemed to be okay. I read that there was an upgrade to the engine wiring loom for the turbo and egr .. Does anyone have any info on this? .. I suppose my issues could be electrical 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

would it not do it in a straight line then as well as 'after a sharp corner' unless wiring is moving on cornering ! |

Although on a Puma I would probably not work the rod in and out as the actuator is electronic not a vacuum job as tradtional turbo diesels have. Jonno |

Sounds very similar to the problem with our 110. EGR was changed and I thought that had fixed it. M J Fews fitted a new engine wiring harness part number LLRO20663 which apparently is a modified harness last Friday, and that appears to have fixed the problem. The part cost £18-14 plus vat. Don't know about this particular part, but M J Fews ebay shop was the cheapest for the EGR from the research I did. One wife - livid
