Anyone had any luck in having dents removed by somme of these paintless repair guys??
I was passing the local high school last week when the little sh*ts decided it would be fun to pelt my car with big chunks of ice , they have left me with dents below the window on the OS rear door. I have contacted the council and the school but they dont want to know, their stock answer was call the cops then claim your insurance!! Any way rant over, any help would be appreciated. You can always try removing the dents yourself by using dry ice - apparently this works really well on Defenders, since the aluminium is flexible.
Just apply the ice (not directly of course) to the dent and it should pop out due to the contracting metal. |

Thanks for the replies guys, I met up with a PDR guy at my neighbours' bodyshop, he had a quick go at fixing it but all it did was ripple the door skin.
I will need to try the heat/cold method as aluminium keeps it's memory more than steel, failing that it will be into the body shop for a dollop of filler . I'll let you know how it goes. 2014 110 2.2TDCi XS Station wagon 1971 Bowler Tomcat 88 4.2 V8 Auto 2022 110 D250 XS Edition - Gone 2024 110 D250 X-Dynamic HSE |
