Where did you find out about this?
Is it a LR auto box fitted as standard or an aftermarket installation? |

Hi All,
just found this forum and this post ! Yes this is one of our conversions, we are the only people offering an auto option as far as I am aware. We are doing quite a few, we have 4 defenders in the workshop at the moment, one 300 tdi 110, one 2.4 110 XS and 2 x 90 60th anniversary soft tops, all brand new, all being converted to auto. I honestly think they drive briliantly, super smooth and so easy to drive. http://www.ashcroft-transmissions.co.uk/part_81.html#pa2 Dave |

Good evening, I am interested in the box the car TD4 but I'm in France and to modify the vehicle must have the consent of the manufacturer Land Rover. In France they refuse. Do you have permission from Land Rover UK Tanks Richard GIUDICELLI |

No we have no 'permission' to modify the vehicle and technically it will invalidate the warranty on the vehicle but in reality we have found dealers are happy to warranty the rest of the vehicle and we put a warranty on the autobox. We have been quite careful to make the auto conversion in such a way so as not to interfere with the vehicle electronics to minimise any potential problems. I have now done 6000 miles in our auto TDCi 90 with no problems, we have sold 6 kits overseas and converted 8 customers defenders all with zero problems to date (touch wood). PS. the photo above is a fake, look carefully at the switches and pedals, it's our RHD 90 and the photo has been transposed. Dave |
