BFG KM2 here, good choice to change the tyres, you won't believe the difference they make!

Just looking at your 90 I get the same feeling each time I look at mine. Great looking Landy - enjoy it.

I've got various bits and piece's for security installed but they are mods I won't publicise. I expect certain criminal circles use forums like these to look into possible target vehicles thats why I and others only list the county as our location. 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold)
Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |

Nice truck
I'd recommend the BFG ATs, I got over 50k and 5 years out of my last set, & only replaced them as they were starting to crack betwen the treads. My feeling was if I had BFG MTs I'd just get further before getting stuck or breaking something, and as my 90 is my daily driver I need it to get to work. Thanks for all the replies and compliments, I feel I was definitely right when I suggested this was a much friendlier forum than others about on the net. I'm already picking up hints, tips and ideas from various posts. At the moment I'm just waiting for the snow, we've been forecast some heavy snow (by the BBC so who knows what we'll get) so looking forward to proving that Defenders are the best 4x4. Unfortunately I'm supposed to be going down the road to Inverness in the morning in the company Insignia so that'll be interesting.
Spent the afternoon sorting the 90 out for winter trips. So far: topped up antifreeze, topped up screenwash with 50:50 mix, full tank of fuel (and will now top up every half tank). And with living in quite a remote area and the rural roads not being gritted particularly much I've been trying to get together a winter kit in the back. So far it contains: 2ltrs water, tow rope, spare clothes, spare boots, general toolkit (spanners, screwdrivers, hammer, cable ties, duct tape etc), 1st Aid Kit, Hi Viz, fire extinguisher. Is there anything else people don't go out without? 2007 (57) Defender 90 (Sold) Looking for another to replace it. The road less travelled.... is a muddy one! |
