Question for the masses: what could make a relay flashing at an excessive rate?
Context: 2001 TD5 with no significant electrical mods. Standard incandescent bulbs and standard relay; indicators work fine. Swapped incandescents for led indicator units and standard relay; flash faster (expected this, obviously). Swapped relay for led load specific one and led indicator units; flashed so fast I could hardly count the rate. According to the vendor, the returned relay tested ok, but they're sending a replacement. I've gone back one stage and am using leds with standard relay. But, I'll wait for the replacement relay and go back to standard set up, then swap the relay, then try one led at a time. Any suggestions otherwise? |

I bought the RDX lights and their relay just to be consistent. I know I could have got a cheaper relay from somewhere else. They're all available on ebay.
