We were out last weekend in Denbighshire and it just so happens that the December issue of Land Rover Owner International covers all the lanes that we do when we are in that area. I haven’t included the Wayfayrer just because that’s such standard fodder!
I often get asked for details of the routes shown in my films. Well here is the perfect opportunity to get a set. A bit longer than my usual films this one but it needed to be to fit it all in. Also the weather was horrible so the filming quality isn’t quite to my usual standard! Have a look on page 62 of LRO onwards and you can get a little video taster of almost every lane they describe. Towards the end there is even a close up of a DISCO 1 ejecting its own suspension! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |

Isn't that just typical, when the comics have something worth looking at the subscription department have worked out that they've been sending issues to my address for the past 18 months for free, I got last months but it looks like it has stopped now I'll have to buy one now

Doh!! I thought about including the OS routes they had in the mag but I guess I'd get battered by copyright issues! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.

It doesn't take too long to find the routes used by the magazine by using OS maps or even better MM. The ones they did in the Forest of Dean the other month caused a few niggles locally!

Yeah I know I did the Lake District one and stupidly assume they would have researched everything. At least 2 of the lanes had been closed for years, one of which we drove not knowing!
I sometimes wonder if its a good idea LRO posting up the routes but then everyone has to start somewhere and I have to say that's how I discovered my first few tracks! Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos. |
