Yep, simple as that Very Happy

As long as you order the lamps for later model defenders with fitted plug ... Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

waiting for my new RDX LED brake lights to arrive in the post as I'm simply fed up of my old leaky units blowing the brake lights out all the time!

the others will get replaced with the RDX ones as and when they break! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

yep, i have put them all round my red 90 and they are good, bright and look cool as they are more shiney and look cleabner in the day time.
One point, the relay thats comes with the set is a bit....well, interesting anyway as it blows my hazards fuse when i have a trailer on. ie, it is resisting as well as the leds and trailer lights working.

I wondered about the RDX-supplied adjustable 4-pin flasher relay in use with a variety of trailers, most of which will have bulbs but I guess some newer ones may have LEDs. Does having a 13-pin Euro trailer connector make any difference one way or the other? And what about the situation when the MoT tester plugs in the trailer connector test box to check your trailer electrics?

Anyone with any practical experience? or can the supplier come back with an answer.

Thanks for your advice. Trevor Wright

"For a 2008 TDCi 2.4 Puma, is fitting these RDX rear red stop/tail and white front sidelights simply a matter of unscrew, unplug, plug and rescrew - literally that, or is there some other little wrinkle to consider?"

For most the lights that is all you have to do. BUT you will need to fit new indicator relay, which is very very simple on the Tdci. And some lights require the connectors crimping on, again very simple.

Thought I had an indicator bulb out, but have discovered this morning that the bulb holder has actually melted and deformed - that's what you get for buying lamps that come in a blue box! So think I will be buying a set of these - I was planning to get some anyway.

I'm guessing these are the Wipac items? Just being resold by LRX? Had anyone explored buying them from Wipac direct and what the price difference is? I notice they are listed on the Wipac website along with a Wipac relay.

Also - could anyone confirm that the indicator relay in a Td5 is behind the instrument panel? Really handy place to get to! 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I don't know whether these are RDX original items or sourced from elsewhere (maybe the same place as Wipac), but if you look at RDX's eBay entry for their flasher relay:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230952858198

they do make comments distinguishing the Wipac relay capabilities from their own design. Trevor Wright

I'm having some interesting times with the RDX indicators and relay. The relay isn't working right or my TD5 has something interesting going on with the wiring (see my other thread). Still, bolt on bits are being helpful to understand the issue so can't complain.

I like the idea of a full set of these but there are two issues that out me off currently.

1. A bit concerning about the trailer issue, most use incandescent lighting still not LED and even if they do or you have them they will be expensive. They say on their page it isn't an issue regardless, so anyone that can clarify that?

2. They've done really well to make a quality set but including connectors and such like, it's a shame the fog and reverse would have to be cut into. Yes, I could just leave them but the complete set would have been nice. But using all plug and play connectors. I really do hate cutting into wiring if I can avoid it where ever possible. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

They did say that they were working on a version of the fog /reverse tbat comes with connectors. Plus a new version of the led relay that had more functionality. Personally, I'd like the basic one to work for me.

I have full set of these complete with their relay, and all is ok when towing trailer using standard bulbs.

My fog and reverse lights both came with connectors, would not have bothered me if they didn't, but just had to attach them from memory, and that is simple as crimp and poke.

No. The flash rate with LED is much slower, and remains at this speed with trailer attached.
