Remaps? Which one?
Hi,

I have had a remap from FOCHESATO (French company) on my Defender 110. To be very honest I don't feel a great difference. I even asked them to come back and remap it again to be sure! Yes the engine seems slightly faster between 2100 and 3000 but nothing to compare with the huge improvement I had on a 166 alfa romeo or what I can read on the Twisted performance and TD5 alice web site.

So I am thinking about a remap from a UK company, specialized in Defenders! I am of course interested in the BAS system as it can be run from a distance which is a great advantage compared to going to the UK each time I need to flash it.

However, the BAS remap seems to give less power than the other ones?

Thanks for your advices.

I love my BAS tune too, such a better drive with it. I get a little better mpg when running it and to me mpg is king!

I think the BAS remap is great, but it makes the Defender lose its "agricultural" character and personality. You have less engine braking for example. But it is extremely easy to put on and off. I have found that the ECU recent factory update has already been so much of an improvement. Boldly going nowhere

I have a chip on my Puma. I know is less fine tuned than a remap, but it does the job very very good. And it is cheap. Puma 110" SW

I must say I am tempted. But it would be desapointed to finally find out that it is not better than the one I have on my car right now. I also wonder if it is a problem to do it on an already remaped engine?

Finally I heard that B.A.S. offered also "customised" remaping? Like "Remap for road", "Remap for Off-Road" ?
