William8, like jimbob I had an interest in abs modulators for a while as mine went on my TD5. If you have the 3 warning lights on your dash it won't go through the MOT.

Before you leave it to long try getting in touch a company called ECUtesting (www.ecutesting.com), they maybe able to repair for around £200 but you have to remove it and send it to them.

I left mine for ages and by the time I got to the mot it was unrepairable, so had to fork out £1,200 + vat.......sad times!!!!!

My advice is get it sorted ASAP, as you may reduce the cost! Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!

Did you have the codes cleared when they were read,sometimes they don't come back on.Also found a guy who makes abs delete/removal kits,but I'm unsure as to whether you can clear the warning lights afterwards,meh!

Im going to whip the pump out tomorrow and post it to ecu testing.

I would like to keep the abs as standard and rather than pay the £2200 for a new one ecu quoted me £300. William

I would presume they self prime from the brake servo do they not?

The modulator lies slightly below it so it should drain down.

I have heard of a 'prime' function on the computers but was just going to try the self bleed. William

On Nanocom,Lynx and I assume Hawkeye you can do a modulator bleed as well as a power bleed.
