Came back from France yesterday.. . The channel looked extremely choppy! I was lucky I was on the shuttle Wink Razz There was torrential rain on the M25- traffic was crawling at about 30mph. An engine to TDi for!

Blue skies and sunny here in the Peak District...quite warm too.

Just watching the Indian GP, then out to finish the rear drawers and wiring in the rear of the Defender.

cheers

yep its starting to get gusty down here in London!

back in cheshire for the weekend, will be doing a large amount of driving in the 110 so some bad weather would be fun! always feel like I'm in an action movie with lights and wipers on in the defender! feels boss! Cheers, David

Just hunkering down for the evening here - wind has been building here all day. Bought 10 litres of fuel for the chainsaw this morning, and dropped a suspect looking tree that would have taken out our oil tank if it had fallen the way the wind is blowing.

I'm expecting no power or phone line in the morning - we live at the end of a mile-long lane with trees the whole way - if the power lines survive I'll be amazed! I've also parked the 110 in the middle of the field away from the trees... My blog - www.anacreinhampshire.blogspot.co.uk

What is it we're supposed to be doing with a storm approaching? It's been on the news all day, despite the fact nothing has happened yet. They're not saying what to do, just that we're all doomed and shouldn't travel unless you need to tomorrow. WTF is that supposed to mean, cancel your casual stroll through the park?

According to the Met Office, BBC and all the rest, South Somerset is doomed Shocked

Just stuck my head out of the door, no hint of a breeze and light rain. In fact the strength of the wind has been non existent since about 4pm.

Time will tell.
