In other words it should have the wiring in ready for a quick fit. if it's a 2.2 it might need a loom adaptor though.. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

The loom plug on the Defender 2.4 was ISO which is a market standard which is a direct fit for basically all makes and models of branded radios. The 2.2 they made it more specific (silly IMO) which means this easy compatibility is no longer there, therefore you need an adaptor. This will convert the Defender specific plug into and ISO plug which will be compatible with the radio/HU you wish to fit. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

It's perfectly doable yourself.
Get yourself down to halfords or equivalent, they'll sell the DIN cage and the adaptor look if you need it. They'll at least have a look in the car and tell you if you do need it. Some radios come with the cage actually now I think of it so probably just need the wiring if anything. Not a tricky job, any halfords person will be able to fit it if you want, or really anyone who's owned a car Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwardsโฆ Daily is a 110 V8. |
