Why they're the greatest 4x4.. You can be a farmer, family man, explorer or royalty and still drive a defender Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

yep, always thought Top Gear have been very fair & complimentary of land rover over the years,
well i suppose thats because Hammond is a defender nut, and Jezza a Range rover aficionado Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Lovely video .
A few yrs ago whilst i lived in E Sussex , i came across a very special looking 110 csw in a rural farming area . It had 12 seats , grey elephant hide . Padded door panels , Safari roof ,bronze green , Buick V8 and a host of other specials. I knew it was something different and the old dear wanted to sell it , I had the cash to buy it but the old man said NO way . It had been the queens . She commissioned it to that exact spec and used it daily . It was an amazing early 70s and i wish i had it . |

He'd need one to fit his over sized head into it. 5th gear did quite a good review, I think it was a Twisted Defender or Alive vehicle can't quite remember which now. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

Hmm, interesting. The first Stage 1 prototypes were built around '75/'76 so perhaps it was something that came off the back of those. Darren

I seriously doubt that any companies pay TG anything...
They're obviously just fairly big fans, and I think that they appreciate the important of being complimentary of British manufacturers Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

They probably don't pay Top Gear, but I'm sure they keep the presenters happy.
Of course, I still stand by my thoughts that JLR and the BBC are best of friends....... Lots of product placement. Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |
