Puma 90 Battery Charger Advice Please
I have a Puma 2.2 HardTop and it does not get a lot of use at the moment, Few short journeys a week. As a result the alarm sounds when starting it up. I note that when the 90 has a good run I don't suffer this problem.

I therefore think that the Battery could do with a boost every now and then especially now we are heading into the cold season.

Could anyone recommend a good trickle charger or charge that can be used while leaving the battery fully connected to the vehicles electronics?

The battery installed is a '12v 90amp 800 A EN' wet cell battery.

All advice welcome

halfords or equivalent will sell a fairly cheap, basic but does-the-job one..

i have an RAC one which always works fine, most batt chargers will have a trickle charge function.

i used to leave the charger itself in the seat box with the battery with just the plug hanging out and an extension lead into the car when i needed it Cheers, David

There are loads of them to choose from and I've certainly gone through loads, but got a ctekthrough a group buy on Disco3 forum and a towing electrics adapter off Martin and I don't know how I coped before.

Ctek and the adapter all the way for me from now on. I'm so pleased I'm about to buy another 3. Thumbs Up

Ctek for me too. Works really well, simple to use - just connect up and leave. Will tell you if battery is u/s. I bought a small capacity one to keep the batteries in tip top condition when I leave the vehicle for long periods. Just left it on for 4 weeks whilst I was away and let it cycle through all the modes

Are there any other quick attachment alternatives to the following from the Disco3 forum which uses the towing electrics? (i don't have towing electrics!)

Like others have said access to our batteries isn't that easy, especially if you suddenly need to dash out and the seats in bits......
