Well there's always going to be some iffiness with calculating BHP, different dynos, at brake or crank, etc etc and I guess with the ECU map they can pretty much 'pick' a BHP figure, I doubt they just stick it on 'max' and watch as the engine is destroyed in 5,000 miles so I guess they pick a sensible figure below the max achievable, so 250 seems like a good bet?
If only I had the £££... 6 speed auto sounds great too, that's the only think that's bothered me a bit about defender autos, when many manufacturers are producing 7-9 speed autos, defender converters seem to use 4/5 speeds which don't give the right gearing, so I'd stick with my 6spd manual but 6 auto changes things... I do agree on bhp figures and tbh I know the exact offering and it not 250hp although it could be soon
