Don't get me wrong on this post I admire the enthusiasm that all these tuning companies put in and all the hard work by the staff a very well done to them all.
But I find it hard to believe that they all manage to pull nice round BHP numbers from these engines, I would believe it more if they put the actual gain and a proof, 520 and 250? More like 512 and 246 not saying I know exactly what they are getting, the fact I'm getting at is if I purchased a vehicle that was advertised at this I woul expect to be able to put it on a rolling road and see that figure especially at the prices paid

Like I said not having a go at twisted I admire what they do just put up realistic numbers Thumbs Up

Well there's always going to be some iffiness with calculating BHP, different dynos, at brake or crank, etc etc and I guess with the ECU map they can pretty much 'pick' a BHP figure, I doubt they just stick it on 'max' and watch as the engine is destroyed in 5,000 miles so I guess they pick a sensible figure below the max achievable, so 250 seems like a good bet?

If only I had the £££...

6 speed auto sounds great too, that's the only think that's bothered me a bit about defender autos, when many manufacturers are producing 7-9 speed autos, defender converters seem to use 4/5 speeds which don't give the right gearing, so I'd stick with my 6spd manual but 6 auto changes things... Thumbs Up Cheers, David

"This is a sensational engine: power, grunt and character - it has responded very well to the work we've carried out on it," said Charlie Fawcett of Twisted.

In the main, we'll be fulfilling orders for new builds of the 250bhp diesel. There'll be a six-speed manual gearbox initially, with a six-speed automatic in development, and, of course, the full range of Twisted-developed chassis, drivetrain, external and interior enhancements.

Not for one second would I consider to let such a company work on my car after reading that. i can already imagine the response if the car had a problem to be solved after some work done by them:
