Its the sort of trip i'd love to do but i just can't commit to this one, sorry.
As a question anyway what sort of trip will it be? Apart from very cold obviously! What sort of truck prep (i've done hot climes but not really cold!)? Is it a ferry to denmark then dmk to sweden Or cross the channel and turn left? Camping, Hotels a mix? Question, questions not looking for plans cast in stone, just an idea really. cheers paul A man with no boat is a prisoner |

hi Paul,
there's loads of info on the forum regarding cold climate prep.. ... in Feb this year I did the North cape trip , ferry to Denmak, then ferry to Oslo and the same on the return and did a mix of Hotels, Cabins and camping. Prep: Insulation, dual batteries, block heater, snow tyres/chains ... feel free to PM me if you have any questions my question was more of ... is anyone else going to be out there in Jan/Feb next year |

Would love to (again...)
We've done it a couple of different ways now - if anyone wants any information about vehicle prep, routes, costs, places to stay, things to do / see on the way then i'll also be more than happily share all our previous info. The way we have done it is by staying in cabins all the way rather than camping - with a little bit of planning it can easily be done without blowing the bank and means you need less kit with you / expense before you go. Maybe we could get a forum trip together 2012 trip photos 2013 trip photos |

Likewise if anyone needs any thoughts or assistance. I wrote up 5 pages on feedback when I came back from Nordkapp 2 winters back. Plenty on thoughts there on prep and things that did or did not work. I think do a search on Nordkapp + feedback will find it.
I would go again as the scenery is stunning but have plans already for Aspen, India and Iberia next year so don't have any more holiday left |

Looks like last week in Jan for 2 weeks, cabins and hotels, doing the costings now With cabins you don't need to take so much kit and all of the cabins I have stayed at have been well equipped. Going to do dog sledding and the ice hotel. |
