Don't the RAC do an insurance green card type carnet thing, where you're underwritten with something like your house, and thus you don't need to pay an arm and several legs on behalf of your vehicle?

Having to hang fire on this
Puma in body shop having been hit whilst parked overnight - hit and run obviously - witnesses report that he was travelling backwards at high speed (having lost it on the bend in a 30 zone) when he past them scraped 1 parked car then came to an abrupt halt in the back of mine. As he was travelling backwards A he lived and B he was actually able to drive off. witnessess say small white volkswagon, gave police partial plate, description of driver and direction he went All witnesses state his rear right is on the drivers seat and theres no glass left in the car. As you can imagine old bill cannot find the other car and pretty much not interested. To add insult to injury it isnt treated as a crime - so no criminal compensation (not a fan of the compensation culture but its me & my insurance thats paying) And to top it off I was given 24Hrs to produce my documents. well P"*^ed off If it aint broke its just waiting. |

bumping up as LR finally returned - damage was pretty minor looked worse than it is.
The 90 is an N REG 300 TDI CSW - Dark mettalic blue. 6 seats having removed centre seat and fitted cubby box. - note to of the rear seats are currently removed but are in safe storage. Snorkel Steering guard and extended breathers. Currently fitted with a Winch but I will probably keep this. Boost alloys on BFG all terrains. If it aint broke its just waiting. |

Sorry to hear someone bumped you
Some idiot ran up the back of my 90 a few years back whilst it was parked and then drove off. I came out at 6am to find some bloke out walking his dog stood over a pile of debris, glass general mayhem. I thought "oh no! that's all I need". On closer inspection, all the bits on the road weren't made by Land Rover. In fact, mine had a bent mudflap bracket and a small dished dent in the crossmember. He must have hit me, rode under the crossmember and, on reversing out, taken most of his car off. Served him right! One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |
