Hi,
I am now the proud owner of new Defender 90. I want to fit a radio, but I can not figure out how to get the blanking plate out. Anyone done the job before, or anyone know how to detach the radio/switch/heater pannel on the centre of the console? I have tried undoing the two torx screws on the front, but nothing seemed to come loose. Cheers, Colin |

the panel just clips in, it should just pop out. But if you dont have a radio you won't have any speakers!! you can modify and fit aftermarket ones or buy some from landrober but there about £45 each

But you will have the wiring in place (mine did, anyway!) |

Thanks for the replies guys.
Glynparry25, I will post some photos this weekend, when I can get out into the daylight to take them. As Scatt said, the panel just pops out with the aid of some leverage from a screwdriver. And the wiring is all in place. Cheers, Colin |

Hi,
Radio successfully installed, including a pair of speakers. Needed to fettle the hole for the radio and spent a while with the DVM to find the new dud fuse that had blown. Now I can start the hunt for load bay liner. Anyway, as requested here's a photo. Cheers, Colin |

Lovely. Keep it simple - I like One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
+ New Defender 110 First Edition |
