Yes, the TD5 rear section fits on a 300TDi, and no, it has a silencer.

Hmm ... That's not the one I was thinking of then ...
There's one that come from the rear joint, follows an 'S' straight out the side in a similar way to standard, but without the canister. Just had a look on the Fische's, but cant find it? Was definitely a Fische picture I remember though!!?! |

Answering my own question here, but worth it I think for anyone else ...
4527 is the later 300TDI set-up which ran the much shorter 4526 mid-section ... So 4527 wont fit the early type. However, if you get the 4526 straight through mid section (TF552 for Terrafirma S/S) and the OEM 4527, then it will bolt-up to the downpipe of even the early type just fine. That's my plan I think ... I'll just shift on the bit I just bought! Does this sound correct to everyone? |
