You been peeking again ?
It's not scratchy but as Lee said, there can be branches down where the logging vehicles have been through and also we remove any low branches that would snag on roof racks. Normally I slot in behind the lead vehicle (Minty on Sunday) and then I can help if there are any obstructions. There is normally a chainsaw in the first vehicle to speed things up if the branches are too big. Weather update for any of you reading this before going to the pub
Left for Portsmouth this morning in sunshine and according to my neighbours been sunny all day. Clear sky outside when we got back a few minutes ago. Dropping to -4 early evening and then warming up. Sunday is 8C and cloudy, no rain, and there may be some sunny spells towards the Bristol Channel. A good day was had by all, and is was great to meet some fellow defender2 followers.
Some challenging tracks(for those with worn road tyres!) , but those with mud terrains etc did things with ease. Thanks to Minty, Jim, Paul and Lynsey for leading us all Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Great pictures Andrew
Excellent day and good to put more faces to names. If you saw the tree root sticking out into the track on that last climb you will know why you could not get over it on road tyres. An AT equipped 110 failed after you as well. It was easier in a 90 as you could get a bit of extra lock and just squeeze to the side of it. Bob,
I think it was also very slippy mud, I could hardly get round the corner to get a good run at it. I turned, but kept on going straight on It was all fun, it's a nice challenge with not so grippy tyres. It just shows what you can do with good advice, and numerous try's. |

Had the same problem even with muds, on the drop out of the trees on the first run after lunch the 90 was going where it wanted to - steering was non existent
When we did the Exmoor challenge my team mate slid sideways down a side slope, there was absolutely nothing he could do about it, only the trees stopped him going over a drop.
