I agree tyres but why wheels are the standard ones not strong enough?

I agree - wheels and tyres. The main problem with standard wheels is that they very much sit within the wheel arches, and if you upgrade to larger tyres you either need to buy spacers or wheels with a better offset to maintain a decent turning circle. Personally I went with new wheels as I don't like spacers, and think it looks much better as a result. Peter

yeah your right they look better with the wheel arches full of tyre but i wouldn't say that boost alloys look are you mad

I must be then merebrow, I'v swapped my Boost for steel rims
The Boost are a nice design but the offsets is not enough which makes them look sh!t NEVER TAKE LIFE SERIOUSLY. NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE ANYWAY |

I think the Boost alloys are the best looking rim for the Defender and they are strong and look great with 265 BFG MT's and the dirtier the better. I have SVX alloys on mine at the moment and they are coming off as i reckon the salt will kill them. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Protection plates and some recovery equipment, i.e. recovery eyes would be more use than changing the wheels and tyres to start with, dependant on budget. The 90 will cope pretty well straight out of the box, most people do change tyres to MTR's as and when they can. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.
