evening all, well, made it back in the early hours of tues.morning. call me mad ,wife thinks so,but went through the gross glockner pass and saw the glacier...incredible.
walfy, there is a garage that is lockable that will take a 110 (as long as it's not too high.we could park a feww 4x4's but they would not all be undercover but it is safer there in terms of l/r security than here i reckon. the border that i usually use is BREGANA which brings you out about 15 minutes drive from the Zagreb ring road. there is a motorway now which at the moment goes to just south of split.(have a look on you tube at 'volvo truck ad)it was filmed on some unopened motorway in croatia. we are hoping to go back down in april but not sure yet ..££££ ,,you know how it is. walfy, the motorway is alot quicker but if you have time take the old road it's much more scenic just be careful,i know you know but certain villages are a bit no go around gospic for example. hope this is some help. ps anyone know where the type number is on an r380 gearbox? got to buy a new one ashcroft ok? |

Good to hear you got back ok
Ashcroft are indeed fine, I have one in my 110 fitted a year ago and its been fine cost roughly £1200 fitted which was cheaper than anyone else really as everyone else get their recon boxes from Ashcroft and add a bit on! I was clever by using my RAC breakdown to *recover* me to ashcroft's base for the work to be done 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) 2015 Discovery 4.5 Black pack Firenze red XS 2008 Corris Grey 110 XS USW (sold) 2011 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) |

I feel your pain! they do supply you with a free courtesy car which in my case was a knackered nissan almeria! filled it with mountain bikes and went off muddy biking! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)
