Hi Jack,
welcome to the forum. Look at BAS, IRL or Alive - these are the main players in the market I've used BAS and can recomend them, but would have no problems using any of the others either drop them a PM (all are on here as sponsors - see the top Right side of the screen uner Forum, Gallery Shop .....) and do a quick search for posts on the subject Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Hi Jack, welcome to the forum.
As you have found out tuning is a minefield and can get confusing very fast if you are new to the terminology used etc Depending on what you mainly want your car for and its use as well as your planned budget many options are available, from a first stage remap only to full on power maps that include new hardware and in some cases turbos etc etc As an idea here is a link to my web page for the TD5 remap and what if offers in the basic first two stages. Please feel free to also post questions, email, pm or call me for more info if needed. https://secure.bellautoservices.co.uk/stor...eftd5remap Regards Pete. |

Thanks Pete ! I am looking to increase a bit the power + increase fuel economy.
Stupid question : is it a DYI kit? I don't trust myself for this kind of job, always had Series and as you know they are far away from electronic! Do you do workshop? Or it something my garage can manage? |

I can do remap installs and any other needs at my workshop no problem. Remaps on the TD5 are not really a remote or mail order able option. We can tune your engine ecu if you post it to is but it's always best to have the car for full diagnostics where possible.
Re economy. if I'm honest only a few people see any real gain worth talking about, most stay arround the same no matter what map is applied if the extra power is used but it does depend a lot on driving style. Fuel quality. Vehicle condition etc etc. Pete |
