Changed my brake fluid today whilst rotating the wheels and tyres but used the old fashioned method of a piece of clear pipe and an old jam jar.
Was thinking of investing in an easy bleed, but not sure now ! 2005 Td5 90 XS

Never heard of it happening before although I guess it is a fair bet that it has happened somewhere. Personally I am a great fan of pressure-bleeding and have never looked back since buying one all those years ago.
In all fairess the reservoir must have been in a pretty bad state for that to happen but its just not something that would otherwise be noticed by a normal day to day inspection. The only time you might have noticed a weep was when the plastic actually cracked but if it had been above the level of the fluid then there might have been no leak but sufficient gap to let air get in and contaminate the fluid. There was obviously weak spot in the plastic, how old is it? ONE LIFE, GET IT!

Recently changed the rear discs and pads. I removed both rear calipers to replace the pistons with ss ones so allowed the brake fluid system to completely drain. I then bled the master cylinder then bled the abs sytem with my msv, then bled each brake caliper starting from furthest from brake cylinder the old fashioned way using a length of pipe into an old jam jar. I have botb a vacuum and a eazibleed system yet still prefer the jam jar way of doing a bleed as i have a willing missus to depress the brake pedal. Personally i prefer the two person bleed for getting it right first time. Just my personal choice though. Whistle
