Sounds more like the rear pad fitting kit you are explaining. Front ones are two springs that go over the pins.

I just bought a set of EBC (Green) pads and they have a kevlar type pad on the back to prevent rattle. Haven't tested them yet, but never had rattle from the front pads...... sure it isn't the rear?

At the rear I do have the anti rattle springs as these...

Fronts should be like this:
Click image to enlarge I just built these calipers up and fitted to my 110. the springs are fairly strong... enough to just push the pads off of the disc (Well, they did when there was no oil in the system... now it's bled up, I suspect not) |
