TD5 centre console wires & plugs (1999)
While putting the dash back together I found the original loom wires for the stereo which are unused as someone has wired in and additional ISO connector for the stereo.
I tried the plugs and the radio powered up but no speakers.
Where do the speaker wires run to ?

Currently I have two speakers, one either side in the headlining just above the B post.

While in there, there was another plug with about 4/5 wires into it.. Any ideas?

I will take a pic when I next remove the radio to fix non working speakers. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Speaker wires run to each end of the lower dash, where the speakers would be.

Yep, that's it.

Passenger side the removable wiper motor cover section of the dash can be easily replaced by a version with a hole in. Given the ball-ache of removing the other dash lower section it might be easier to cut that one in situ, just watch the wiring behind.

I think in this instance, I will leave the dash well alone and wire the OEM plugs/cables to the headling speakers. 1999 Defender TD5 110
